Our client is a prestigious Holding Company with Assets across Hospitality, Travel and the Tourism sectors.
The Director of Finance and Strategy will oversee the financial management and strategic direction of hospitality operations, focusing on maximizing revenue and controlling costs across properties. This role includes evaluating P&Ls, developing financial strategies, and ensuring successful project completion within budget. The ideal candidate will have international hotel or travel & tourism industry experience. Lead the finance function, managing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. They will evaluate P&Ls, provide insights to optimize revenue, and ensure compliance with financial policies and industry regulations. This role also involves developing financial strategies that align with corporate goals.
Oversee the annual budgeting process, collaborating with hotel managers to create realistic financial plans. You will adjust rolling forecasts as needed and analyse variances between actual and forecasted results, recommending actions to address discrepancies and aligning operational goals with financial targets.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue, ensuring hotels meet their financial goals. Oversee CapEx planning, ensuring renovations and new projects are financially feasible and aligned with strategic objectives. Work with the technical team to validate CapEx budgets and ensure projects meet financial and operational targets.
As Director you will work with the leadership team to develop strategies for sustainable growth and long-term profitability, exploring opportunities for expansion, acquisitions, and partnerships. Manage financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and IFRS, and liaise with auditors and financial institutions.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or Master’s in Finance is preferred. A professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CIMA) is highly desirable. The ideal applicant will have 10+ years of experience in financial management, particularly in international hotel operations, and be fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
